When things take a violent turn for both the elves and the reindeer, everyone must work together in hopes of saving Christmas. In the midst of it all, two reindeer might just find love along the way.
Review:
Once again Candi Kay has a title worth reading a book for. After Willy the Kinky Elf and His Bad-Ass Reindeer, Evan the Virgin Reindeer & His Sexy Buck (simply “Evan” from here on in) is another clanger of a title. Congrats on that one, Candi Kay.
Evan is the twenty one year old virgin of the title. Evan’s pretty dedicated, he’s been busy trying to make his mum and dad proud, make himself happy, by being one of the elite reindeer to pull Santa’s sleigh. He hasn’t had time to fuck around like his fellow reindeer…they’re a horny lot. Now his dreams of being Santa’s sleigh reindeer are finally coming to fruition as he and one other rookie have been picked. However, he’d sure like some sex and he’d like a partner of his own even more than the sex. One thing at a time, right? Evan’s moved into the Vice Chief Reindeer’s house with the other sleigh reindeer… including the other rookie, Blake. Blake has been bullying Evan for some time and it looks like that isn’t going to stop anytime soon as they become rookie reindeer together.
A few threads run through “Evan.” That someone is trying to hurt/bump off poor Evan. The romance of Evan and Derek, the Vice Chief to Randy. And someone is trashing the elf workshop and also causing grief in the reindeer house. In a situation not unlike a lot of Christmas Santa stories, someone is making a mess before the Christmas Eve/Day flight. Toys have been wrecked, computers have had porn placed on them, the workshop is chaos. There are only eight days left to make up for months of elf diligence. Can it be done? Can children have their toys, and adolescents get de-porned (new word) laptops? You know it’s going to be tough but, hey… Christmas novella.
There’s also some politics going on, Mrs Claus hasn’t recovered from Randy choosing 
Willy, over her, and the fraternisation of a reindeer with an elf. The Claus’ have cracked down everywhere. Santa doesn’t forget his wife’s philandering ways and now the hot reindeer can’t shift in the main village, they may be gay but you can’t take enough precautions as far as Santa’s concerned. This causes clothing issues – nothing like clothing up your crack after a shift. Nothing like having to keep it in your pants when you want to hang free.
Meanwhile, after he manages to save Evan from bullying gone too far, Derek makes moves on Evan to ensure the virgin in the title is no more. Evan worries that Derek will be 
disappointed by his lack of experience, but Derek is turned on that Evan’s body is all his now. Yep, Derek likes that fact a hole whole lot. It’s a sweet romance at heart with some sexy parts as Evan gets his man? reindeer? Both. Evan isn’t sure he’s reindeer enough for Derek but Derek makes sure Evan’s under no illusions that he’s his mate and that he wants him, not just now, but for life. Evan has to grow into the mate thing and that it’s real.
He rubs his thumb across my lower lip.
“Second thoughts?”
My eyes widen. “What? No. I’m just thinking about how right this feels. I don’t understand it, but I just know I’m meant to be right here, right now, with you.”
Overview:
I’m really glad that Candi Kay revisited the North Pole, home of Willy and his huge willy and Randy, his bad-ass reindeer. Willy and Randy are in this book and I love them the same. I’m glad when an author doesn’t mess with characters I’m rather fond of. In a world that has gone to hell in a hand basket lately, “Evan” was kick-back-leave-my-slippers-on-
and-drink-peppermint-whiskey fun reading. This is a tongue-firmly-in-cheek series meant to make you smile and have a good time with shifter romance, and a bit of pre-cum thrown about, nice world building around the ‘true’ North Pole – it’s full of politics and back-stabbing, who knew? Mind you, anyone as jolly as the Santa they try to sell us has to have problems. Just sayin’… And there’s a bit of a mayhem. I really enjoyed my time spent with Evan and his uber-possessive mate, Derek – and it has mine in it, multiple times “So… damn… good…” he moans again and again. “Mine… only mine….” Ahhh… And there’s the occasional reindeer growl to be heard when Willy and Randy are there, so I’m a happy reader. I do like a possessive shifter. And his sweet virgin reindeer? Yeah, it’s all about right to me. Okay! Bring on next year’s instalment. 4 Stars!

I just finished the first book and i really liked it, it is a refreshing/funny different Christmas story, and i always felt that Santa Claus was to good to be true and this book proves it LOL

Excellent review for a book I really enjoyed! Great job, Kazza. Like you, I was pleased that the story didn’t alter my feelings of Willy or Randy, and introduced me to two new characters that were really fun to read about. Or…should I say three? *cough cough* Blake Simpson. 😉 Derek is an incredible fictional boyfriends. I love that “mine mine mine” attitude in fiction, but omg in the real world, he would stalk the shit out of you.
