Downtrodden workers at a towing company compete to repossess an elusive Mercedes; two men clash over their participation in a body modification ritual; a group of Dungeons & Dragons players find themselves unwelcome in an upscale resort; the discovery of a drowned corpse haunts two would-be lovers in a beach town. Ne’er-do-wells, prodigal sons and young men without a clue await to be met in these nine stories that speak to a new generation of hopefuls not usually found in contemporary queer fiction. A title featured as one of Kirkus’ Indie Books of the Month for July!

Jonathan has been toiling away at short stories for years. He earned an MFA. He’s the sort of writer who is very serious. He went through three different rounds of editors offering feedback on this book. Maybe that is why it received so many starred reviews. My hope is that it will win some awards. These are rich and funny and poignant gay stories. And, alas, Harper is happily married so we can only swoon from a distance (his husband is one of the sweetest guys). Jonathan is the sort of gent who carries a cigarette case with rainbow-colored cigarettes.
We have one copy of Daydreamers to give away. You may choose print or digital edition.
Certainly an eclectic assortment of shorts stories and one for my personal TBR because it sounds pretty darn good 🙂
It does sound really good, doesn’t it? 🙂
Big thank you to Steve and Lethe Press for the generosity! I’m really enjoying getting to learn more about what LP offers. As to this giveaway, I love that cover, first of all. Second, I went over to LP’s site to check out a bit more on it because I love reading the quotes they have for books; this sounds absolutely intriguing and seems to be filled with fascinating characters. So happy to have a chance at it and another one for my wishlist.
Thanks for your comment, Carolyn. I’ve been enjoying discovering all these wonderful books as well. My TBR is growing daily. 🙂 The cover is amazing.
I will never be sad about how large my TBR grows because I can never be sorry for learning about another great book. My only sadness comes when I realize I may not (if that whole plan to live just until my last book is read doesn’t pan out) get to all of them. 😉
The cover and D&D had me interested when the book came out. Thanks for the chance at a giveaway. 🙂
You’re welcome, Michael. Thanks for the comment. Good luck!
Please count me in as well. Thanks
Thanks for stopping by and for commenting, Dianna. You’ve been added. 🙂
I love the variety of stories so please count me in.
What an intriguing variety of stories and that cover is fascinating, I wonder do you know who the cover artist is? Thank you for the chance of winning a copy.
I love the cover. This looks good.
