One wedding, one catastrophic speech, and two lovesick people searching for redemption in each other.
This is part two of Emerson and Cooper’s story.
I was supposed to marry the girl across the street—my lifelong best friend and the love of my life, Roselyn Metz. So why am I playing best man at her wedding?
One too many drinks and a vindictive one-night stand lead to a disastrous wedding toast.
But it also leads me to her—Emerson Metz—Roselyn’s younger sister, now all grown up and just as brokenhearted over her sister’s new marriage as I am.
Love Sex & Other Games is a serial—each part is the size of a novelette—and intended for an adult audience. Due to foul language, sexual innuendos, dirty talk, and adult themes, this serial is recommended for readers 18+
Review:
Terrific second part to the Love Sex & Other Games serial. Cooper has turned out to be quite the Mr Gallant. He’s growing and I liked him more in this one. Emerson is a confident, take charge gal, and I loved her even more. Great pairing, but that’s what Cheryl McIntyre excels at. I’m a character fanatic and that can be found in individuals or in couples. I really like the author’s characters individually but they totally pop when they’re teamed up. Emerson and Cooper ping the radar together. Great depth and dimension are afforded both MCs – and it’s still building. How could they think they loved the other one’s sibling? Pffft. This pair are meant to be together, but not without enough of a moment or a hurdle to make them appreciate each other, and for the reader to have at least one or two ooh-ahh! emotional attachment moments. It works so well in so few words.
Just adding –
Nice lead in quote by Henry Rollins.
Picks straight up from the conclusion of Part 1.
Each one has a game as a kind of theme, and I love how the cover reflects this. Strip chess?
This serial is peaking, building to the final part, Part 3, and I’m off to read it. Highly recommended. Start at Part 1, you won’t regret it. 4.5 Stars!
Ooh, it looks like #2 is just as good as the first one. 🙂 I love the photos and quotes you used.
Just a bit better, it totally value adds and now it’s not ridiculous o’clock in the morning I’m about to read the final part. Must use pics… 🙂
