I live in Sydney, Australia.  I love animals. I love the Australian bush. I also love Rugby League and the ballet. Yes, it may be a bit of a contrast, but that is me. Oh, and I will do sneaky things to get my hands on chocolate. I am addicted to the stuff.

In 2012 I decided, well, really it was at the unanimous decree of my family who were sick of my never ending, unsolicited, one sided book discussions with them, to have a blog about things I was passionate about – reading and some life observations.  My family put up with my OCD reading moments, when nothing happens because I’m deeply engrossed in a book, and when I become strangely besotted with fictional characters.

I love to read, I love to review, and this blog allows me the forum to put my thoughts down on the books I read.  I am a mother of two. I work in a semi-retired capacity now. I have degrees that have allowed me to work in areas that have been more than just a job for me. I’ve been a counsellor in private practice in excess of twenty years, and I’ve loved every minute of my job, but now my schedule allows me more time to read and review.

It is good that I have more time for reviewing as I am known for lengthy reviews – I like to think of them as in depth. I’m a passionate reader and I like to express that passion in my reviews. I say it is for other readers looking for a bit more meat…that’s my excuse, and I’m sticking with it!

Nowadays, my personal favourites are definitely romantic and erotic in nature, with an emphasis on MM. I’m definitely a “read as the mood strikes me person.” I read all books under the umbrella of LGBTQ writing, not just MM. I will, and I do, branch out.  I am very much about the premise of the book and the feel I get for it, no matter the genre. Ooh, and I am a major cover fetishist.
