Review –
Urban and Tyson have been together for eight years. They went from college, to living together, to being the happy couple they are. Until suddenly Tyson makes an announcement over dinner.
He wants space.
What? Urban thought the relationship was perfect. They still laugh together, play together. The sex is still good. Has Urban missed signs saying that Tyson isn’t happy? What brought this on all of a sudden? The kicker? Tyson wants to stay in the home he shares with Urban, as in him moving to the guestroom leaving Urban in the same house in the master bedroom.
I’m not going to give away Tyson’s reasons for wanting space. That would be too telling. I will say this… I was ready to smack him for a little while. His reasons were kinda/sorta/not really valid for what he hoped to accomplish later, but damn did he go about it the wrong way. This is a Kyle Adams book, so you know the drama part didn’t last long in regards to that, but I was still not a fan of Tyson until a little bit into the story. Later? Oh, he totally made up for his stupidity in my opinion.
The title is New Beginnings. That’s exactly what happens with Urban and Tyson. They embark on a new adventure that helps them rediscover things about themselves as a couple that they may or may not have known they were missing. But it’s not just that. There are new ‘first dates’ leading up to a special day for Urban. Each new ‘first’ is sexier and sexier, with Tyson doing things that will make you say “Aww…” and maybe remember your own first dates way back when (it did in my case anyway).
There’s the classic humor one would expect from this author. The sex scenes are extremely erotic. What starts as “needing a bit of space” turns into a very sweet love story between two very unique men.
Overall, a very entertaining story. Once you get beyond the early pages with Tyson (keep reading… you’ll see that things aren’t as they seem), you’ll love him. Don’t not read this because you think it’s your typical break-up story where the couple comes back together again. This is not that type of story and I can’t stress that enough. Read it and you’ll see what I mean.
I liked Urban from the onset and continued to until the end. If you’re already a fan of this author, you’ll really enjoy this. If you’ve never read him before, this is the perfect story to start with.

This is a very good story. You’d really like it. His trademark humor is there, as are the erotic sex scenes. I really enjoyed it.
