Lethe Press, Day 31 Giveaway: Vintage: A Ghost Story by Steve Berman
To celebrate On Top Down Under Book Review’s 3rd blog-versary, Steve Berman and Lethe Press have kindly offered a book a day to our readers all during the month of October.
.
I (Cindi) was thrilled when I saw that the final book of Lethe’s giveaways is one of my favorite books to read during the week leading up to Halloween – Vintage: A Ghost Story. I first read this book two years ago and it was reviewed on our (now archived) YA site. If you’re interested, you can read the review here. While the characters may be a little young compared to the usual books we review on On Top Down Under, I will say that it doesn’t matter the ages as Vintage is perfect for older teens and up. It’s fantastically creepy and I can’t recommend it enough.
.
All you have to do to enter the giveaway is leave a comment on the bottom of this post. If you receive a spam notification while commenting, no worries. We will see it and move it to where it’s supposed to be.
.
Good luck to all who enter and make sure you check all the other great Lethe Press giveaways from this month. Enter while you can. Everything comes to an end this weekend. Thank you to everyone for helping us celebrate our anniversary! It’s been a great month.
.
Join us in sending a huge thank you to Steve and Lethe Press for the generosity in helping us celebrate our 3rd year!

A lonely boy walking along a highway one autumn evening meets the boy of his dreams, a boy who happens to have died decades ago and haunts the road. Awkward crushes, both bitter and sweet, lead him to face youthful dreams and childish fears. With its cast of offbeat friends, antiques, and Ouija boards, Vintage is not your typical romance but does offers readers a memorable blend of dark humor, chills and love. A finalist for the Andrew Norton Award!

So this is my only novel. I started writing Vintage in 1997 as a love letter to a goth boy. It took ten years from start to finish. And so it’s almost been a decade since the book released. Ask a writer how he or she feels about their first book–especially if its the only novel s/he wrote!–and the words will choke in the mouth…or at least this happens to me. I’m proud of the book. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to write another.
We’re happy to provide two copies of either the print or digital editions of Vintage to lucky commentators of this post.
The idea of this book is intriguing, possibly because I’m a big believer in ghosts. It sounds like it could be ideal Halloween reading. Thanks for the giveaway.
I also enjoyed the review.
Thanks!. I’m a huge ghost person myself, Matt. If a book has one in it, I’m usually eager to read it. This is a great book. Good luck!
This sounds different and something I would like to read so please put my name into the hat.
Also, a final congratulations on you anniversary.

You’ve been added, Dianna, and thanks for your comments and support this month!
Love the blurb of Vintage: a Ghost Story. Looks like a great Halloween read so thanks for this post and the giveaway chance
Thanks for your comment, Angela. I really can’t recommend this book enough. You’ve been added to the mix.
Cindi, I’ve had this one on my wishlist for a while, and I’m excited to see it get some attention. Ghost stories are one of my faves, any time of year!
I love ghost stories, too. 🙂 That’s what had me picking this one up way back when. It has just the right amount of creepiness. You’ve been added to the draw, Carolyn.
This book sounds like one I would love to read. Please put me in for a digital edition. 🙂
You’ve been added, Jane. Thanks for your comment. 🙂
I have a favourite ghost romance story, based on a long time love affair between a ghost and a mortal, so I wonder what the twist will be in this one? Thank you again and happy 3rd anniversary 🙂
This will really creep you out in the best kind of way. The ghost is a very disturbed character.
Thanks for your support this month, Sula, and always. 😀 Winners will be announced on all the giveaways in the coming days.
I’m a big fan of Steve so if it’s not too late, please enter me as well — I’m still in the Halloween spirit.
Not too late, Ted. We’re letting it run through the weekend. Good luck!
I think I there everyone who commented before now should get a copy. I can make that happen. And still have some spares… I just hope folk will leave a review on GoodReads about the book.
