On Top Down Under Turns 5! Our Blog-Versary
On October 6, 2017, On Top Down Under Book Reviews celebrates our 5th anniversary. In 2012, two total strangers – from opposite sides of the world – came together over the shared love of a book. I’m not sure we’ve ever mentioned the book but it’s Garnetville by E.M. Mispiel. First, a friendship was born, then, On Top Down Under. During the past five years, hundreds of books, maybe more, have been read and reviewed. We’ve discovered new authors and have continued enjoying old favourites. Not only has the site grown, but so has the friendship and we continue to be as close as family.
Thank you to authors who take the time to write books, it’s a hard slog this writing game, and Twitter is an insight into the dedication by writers in various genres. A special cheers to those who have written the books we love to read, and a huge thanks to authors taking the time to be a part of our Blog-Versary because you help us make it fun and interesting and meaningful. Thanks to those writers who appreciate the time taken to rate a book and write a review as well – no matter the size, who writes them, or where. A massive thank you to our followers and subscribers. Without your support we’re sure On Top Down Under Book Reviews would not be going so strong after a half-decade.
As we always do during our Blog-Versary, we’re celebrating throughout the entire month of October with author posts, excerpts and giveaways. Because it’s our 5th birthday, we’re even having our own blog giveaway this year – a $50.00 Amazon giftcard. We’re also writing our own posts, and we have some different guests taking part. Below is a current schedule of events with author/guest name, date and, as it occurs, a link to the post. There may be a change here and there.
We hope you’ll celebrate our anniversary with us and everyone taking part. All things being equal, we look forward to another five years! ~Kazza and Cindi

Happy anniversary to my fave blog outside mine. 😎 I see some top writers are on & I can’t wait for that postal vote interview. I hate the vote but I hope YES smacks the pollies on their homophobic bastard asses!
I have to work out how to make the recording work – you can’t trust me and technology 😀
I totally agree, the postal vote is disgusting but a resounding yes would be brilliant.
Thanks, Jay 🙂
Keep up the outstanding reviews and happy 5th!
Thanks so much, Matt 🙂
You all keep getting better and better! And where did the year go? I noticed my blog visits everywhere haven’t been nearly as frequent for a long time, and I’ve had to remind myself to make time for the fun stuff amidst all the dreariness. So, a party celebrating OTDU with authors and goodies? Count me in!
Thanks, Carolyn! And thanks for your support over the years. 🙂
Nice to have you back on. Hope you’re well, and thank you, Carolyn 🙂
