Aggressive, physical, and brave, Jake Owens is a small town football hero turned big city cop who passes his time with meaningless encounters believing he can’t have who he really wants: Nate Richardson, his best friend since before forever. Thoughtful, quiet, and kind, Nate is a brilliant doctor who has always known who he is and has never been able to shake his crush on loyal, courageous, straight Jake.

After a passionate night together, Nate realizes Jake isn’t as straight as he assumed, but he worries that what they shared was a fluke, a result of too much closeness for too long. For Jake, the question isn’t how they ended up in bed together because he has always known that Nate holds his heart, it’s how he’ll convince Nate that he wants and needs to stay there.

Word Count: 82,569
Where He Ends and I Begin is set in the Home series where the books are linked by theme or world. They are independent and can be read in any order.

Review –

Infinity QuoteThis is one of those “Awwww!” books. I’ve read other comments where folks have stated that it was sweet…….. really sweet. That is pretty much the only way to describe it. There is no real conflict, no major disagreements, no angst, no anything really except a good love story between two life-long friends who go from friends to not just lovers, but life partners. Sure it was very unrealistic, but who cares? Sometimes I just need a sweet story without a bunch of b.s. thrown into it.

I enjoyed watching Nate and Jake as they discovered their love for each other. Real love. Not just the friendship kind. I’m a huge, HUGE fan of friends-to-lovers stories and this one was written perfectly.

I had the pleasure of catching up with Nate and Jake when I read the bonus chapter of the second edition of this book. I read the first edition quite awhile back, so it was a pleasure seeing how they are down the road.

A very enjoyable read.

“I want you so bad, Jake,” he rasped.

“Me too, baby.” I bit down on his earlobe. “I want you every fucking second of every fucking day.” I slammed my mouth against his, licking and sucking and tasting. “Let me show you how much.”

Love the review and the quotes, Cindi. The last one is a beauty. Friends to lovers is always such a popular theme and Cardeno C does it well 🙂

Aww, maybe I’m not finished my CC’athon. I’ll second that Kazza, the last quote is zing-worthy. ^^ J
