About Cindi:

I’m a true southern girl, born and raised in the heart of the deep south in the United States (also known as the Heart of Dixie).

I have been married to the man of my dreams forever and helped raise three sons, all of which support my reading habit even if they don’t understand it.

I obsess over college football, most notably the Alabama Crimson Tide.

I judge restaurants by the quality of their margaritas, not their food.

I believe there is nothing better on this earth than good chocolate and good black coffee.

I have adult ADHD but yet can read a 300 page book a day without an issue.

I can spend hours inside of a bookstore though I haven’t read a paper book in over two years.

I won’t judge a book by its cover but have been known to buy one because of the cover with zero knowledge of what the book is about.I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t reading a book or thinking about what to read next.

My love of M/M started when I read a hetero series that had two gay characters.  One Zathyn Priest short later and I was hooked and never looked back.  I have now read over 800 M/M/LGBT titles (shorts and full-length) and that number grows daily.I have a soft spot for books with kids in them and books about family.

M/M is my main genre these days though I do step outside of the box on occasion.  I can sometimes be found reading a good M/F romance or even a thriller or horror book.

I love:

1.  Erotica, whether it’s M/M or M/F.

2.  Books full of gratuitous sex.

3.  Books with zero sex in them.

4.  Books that make me cry.

5.  Books that make me laugh out loud.

6.  A good ménage.

7.  A good BDSM book.

8.  Books that have me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what will happen next (if I can’t figure out who the bad guy is until the reveal, I consider that a great book)

9.  Books with a lot of sappy romance and those that are not so sappy.

I just love books.  Period.

I don’t love:

1.  Books overloaded with southern-speak.  I may be a southern girl but I believe that the lingo rarely carries over in print.

2.  Infidelity by a main character, though I’ve read a few that worked so I don’t count those out completely.

3.  The build-up, sometimes over a few hundred pages, to something major only to be let down with the resolution occurring in one small paragraph at the end.  The only way I feel that this is acceptable is if the book is part of a series.

4.  Bad editing if I am reading the finished, published product.  Editing issues can usually be overlooked if the copy I am reading is an advanced copy supplied by the author or publisher.

I am a huge reader and there is very little that I won’t read.  I fall in love with fictional characters and have been known to shed a tear or two over them as well.  For me, there is not much better than stepping into the world of fiction and becoming engrossed in another world.  That has been me for as long as I’ve known how to read and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
