One wedding, one catastrophic speech, and two lovesick people searching for redemption in each other.
This is the third and final part of the Love Sex & Other Games series.
I was supposed to marry the girl across the street—my lifelong best friend and the love of my life, Roselyn Metz. So why am I playing best man at her wedding?
One too many drinks and a vindictive one-night stand lead to a disastrous wedding toast.
But it also leads me to her—Emerson Metz—Roselyn’s younger sister, now all grown up and just as brokenhearted over her sister’s new marriage as I am.
Love Sex & Other Games is a serial—each part is the size of a novelette—and intended for an adult audience. Due to foul language, sexual innuendos, dirty talk, and adult themes, this serial is recommended for readers 18+.
Review:
I don’t know how long I’ve been standing here, staring at her, and trying to make sense out of what she said. And why she’s here. And how this came to be. Questions I can’t seem to articulate.
Nice way to close out this three part serial. Here are reviews of Part 1 and Part 2, you do need to read them all, and in order. Emerson and Cooper are terrific together. So much fun, not heavy on the sex which was alright by me – it was organic when it occurred, and meaningful. The entertainment value in this serial is definitely watching the recognition the MCs register of one another, as more than the sister/brother of someone they both thought they loved, as it turns to friendship, to true love; not some notion of. There was one miscommunication, which I knew was going to happen, but it was sorted out quickly because the maturity and comfort of Emerson and Cooper, together, was well developed.
Thoughts while reading
Apt quote by Leo Tolstoy at the beginning.
Dum-dum-dum! If you made a mistake it’s on you, girl.
Bitch, Please!!
I’m liking the love and respect Mr Gallant is holding on to – Devil Cooper is trumped by Angel Cooper.
The game that Emerson comes up with in this Part, to thwart an awkward night, cracked me up. I wanted to be there to see it take place. I really did.
And to answer a question the author posed at the back of this book…
Yes, Cheryl McIntyre, I’d definitely read more in this world. I’ve spent time on reviews of each novelette in the serial, as well as GIFS/pics and quotes, where I’d normally just put a quick line review up on GR, so I’m invested. Your love for Emerson and Cooper shines brightly in your words. May the writing flow continue to be joyous and strong for you. 4.5 Stars!
I’m so glad the trilogy ended well for you. This looks every bit as good as the two before it. I love your review and I smiled reading your ‘thoughts while reading’. 😀 The visuals and quotes are, as always, amazing.
I keep forgetting to say how much I love the cover on these books.
Me too because sometimes it bombs in the last instalment – that makes me so mad. This was really consistent throughout and it was a good ending to a nice, fun, sexy serial.
I love the cover on the books too, it reflects the story content nicely.
Baha, can’t go without visuals 😀
